Coordinator
The
Membership Coordinator
provides outstanding customer service to members,
prospective members, and customers as an essential
component of the three-person
Member
Service
Center. Exceptional
written and verbal communication skills, attention
to detail, critical thinking and problem solving,
and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet
deadlines are essential. We are looking for a Member
Relations specialist with a “can do” attitude.
Proficiency with email blasts and a knowledge of
database management is very important. The
Membership Coordinator reports to the Director of
Membership.
The Membership Coordinator will be responsible for
sending mass email communications to members;
oversight of Annual Fund donations; management of
the Certification and Approved Trainings programs;
and handling recruitment materials for trainers,
Chapter leaders, and professional interest groups.
The ability to create and administer
multiple organized tracking systems is key. This
person will be expected to support team members with
monthly renewal invoicing and ongoing new member
mailings.
Education and Experience
• Some college or equivalent. Bachelor degree is
desired.
• One to three years experience in a
service-oriented organization or association.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Requires basic knowledge of marketing and
membership related principles.
• Excellent communication (oral, writing, and
copyediting skills).
• Strong service orientation for both internal and
external members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Access,
Excel, and Publisher, Internet and web-based
applications.
• Self starter and comfortable working in a team
environment.
• Prior experience in association environment
desired, particularly in membership or marketing
department.
